Intelligent Agents Review

چکیده
Software intelligent agents, or simply agents, are one of the most important research areas in computer science and information technology. Plenty of work has been done on different aspects of agents development. This paper presents a survey of research activities in the development of intelligent agents. The survey categorizes the agent related work into three main theoretical based areas: (1) Interaction protocols, (2) Design and architecture, (3) Agent applications. The purpose of this categorization is to understand the main research driven directions in this promising field, and help in choosing a particular direction for more in depth studies.
